UX Designer
DIG is looking for a full-time UX designer. In this position, you will help to create digital ecosystems for a wide variety of clients. We are looking for a passionate designer who has a strong understanding of the UX process and can help to create thoughtful, tested and beautiful experiences. You should have a passion for championing the user and ensuring that every interaction has the end-user in mind.
Ideal Candidate:
- High competency in design, creative process and attention to detail
- High standards for consistency and quality
- Understands typography, how to create layouts and how to properly treat text
- Experience performing both quantitative and qualitative user tests
- Ability to create visual and functional prototypes to test designs
- Effective at engaging with clients to understand their needs, explain concepts, ask questions and provide strategic insight on projects
- Engages with stakeholders to gain an understanding of the client’s business, users and needs to grasp expectations, requirements and goals
- Experience engaging with development teams to deliver high-quality, intentional experiences
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with varying complexity levels while meeting design standards and client deadlines and requirements
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and stretch beyond comfort zone
- Willingness to engage in regular critiques to provide the best solutions for clients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Team player who isn’t afraid to break the mold
Qualifications:

3–5 years as a designer (in-house or agency)

Strong portfolio showcasing web, mobile, software or product work

Ability to create extensive UX planning documentation

Strong visual design skills and understanding of design principles such as typography, color, layout, etc.

Understanding of digital best practices and ADA compliance regulations

General knowledge of front-end coding (CSS, HTML 5, and JavaScript) as it relates to enabling and constraining the feasibility of designs

Proficiency with interaction design tools that support UI design and prototype creation, such as Sketch, InVision and UXPin
